In 1990, designer Lourdes Paterna founded the

children’s wear brand that bears her name.

From the outset, her highly individual style has

been striking for its use of colour and

hand-painted fabrics. Her simple drawings are a

fitting reflection of a child’s world.

Despite the brand’s dramatic growth, Lourdes

continues to make meticulously handcrafted

garments, with a preference for natural fabrics

like cotton, wool and linen.

The company is based in the designer’s home town

of Valencia with a workforce of six.
